VICTORY ALERT: Governor Newsom Vetoes SB 799

We did it! Thanks to all you hard work and perseverance, we were successful in getting SB 799 (Portantino) vetoed by the Governor! SB 799 was THE top priority for the California Labor Federation that would have depleted the already strained Unemployment Insurance Fund by allowing workers who voluntarily participate in a trade dispute to receive unemployment benefits after two seeks of being on strike.
