Statewide Minimum Wage Ballot Measure:
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) United Healthcare Workers West has submitted an initiative for the 2016 ballot, which would raise statewide minimum wage to $15/hr by the year 2021.
Minimum Wage Across LA County:
On Feb. 1, Pasadena City Council voted unanimously (7-0) to raise the city’s minimum wage to$13.25 by 2018. Similar to Long Beach, the city will then review the impacts of the wage increase, and if findings are favorable, will then pursue increases to $15 by 2020.
