Take our critical annual BizFed survey now and send to your members! BizFed’s annual member survey is your chance to tell us what’s helping or hurting your business so we can mobilize our massive and diverse grassroots alliance to raise your voice with LA County Supervisors, State Legislators, and Mayors and City Council Members from all 88 cities. We use the survey results to show them what the businesses they represent care about, are frustrated or happy with, or otherwise think about the various challenges these employers and job creators face every day. But it only works if HUNDREDS OF BUSINESS LEADERS take the survey and URGE OTHERS TO DO SO! |

BizFed supports expansion and renovation of Walmart in Pomona With a reported 85 new jobs and new tax revenue that will provide public services to the City of Pomona, the BizFed board voted to support the expansion and renovation of the Pomona Walmart and issuance of a conditional-use permit for the project. Improvements include the addition of a full grocery department that will provide neighboring communities with easy access to high quality, affordable food. |

BizFed opposes new state energy mandates SB 350 would mandate that California reduce petroleum use by 50%, increase renewables by 50%, and increase the energy efficiency of existing buildings by 50%. While the BizFed board supports the overall goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, investing in renewable energy, and increasing energy efficiency, the board expressed concerns about the details of this legislation. For example, there is a need for flexibility so businesses can meet these goals while striking a balance between both environmental and economic gains. The legislation also lacks a road map to help businesses comply with new mandates, which is especially critical given questions about the economic and technological feasibility of some aspects of the legislation. |

BizFed WIN: LA City Charter Amendments 1 and 2 – Angelinos came out with major support for both Charter Amendments 1 and 2 (76% voted yes), which will align municipal and school board elections with even-year statewide and national elections.
